QiGong & Shiatsu

Ryo Equchi

Shiatsu Massage: Please call for an appointment: 415-815-9244

Working diligently for 8 years at a Shiatsu hospital in Osaka, Japan, I have had the opportunity to learn the nuances of shiatsu massage from the perspective of a real working shiatsu hospital.

With my background in Qi Gong, shiatsu massage is more than just massage, it enables me to customize shiatsu for each person, focusing on troubled areas with Qi energy.

As a result, clients are not only relieved of body aches and pains but feel a sense of calmness and relaxation; one of the main benefits of Qi Gong. I look forward to meeting you.

Testimonials from current clients:

"As an avid surfer, I have been working hard to gain greater range of motion and work through old sports injuries for a number of years. I have tried yoga, massage, acupuncture, and chiropractic all with limited success. Four months ago, I started seeing Ryo for regular shiatsu treatments. I am finally seeing the results I have been hoping for! He has improved my muscle function dramatically and I am able to surf longer and better. In the past few weeks I have begun attending Ryo’s Qi Gong classes, which are a fine compliment to the shiatsu sessions. Thanks Ryo, you are the best!"

"I injured my neck and my upper back 2 years ago snowboarding and had to see a physical therapist and a chiropractor couple of times a week for quite some time. My neck pain persisted and I didn't feel my recovery was progressing well. I was afraid I would never be able live my active life again. Then, I found master Ryo. After few shiatsu sessions, my neck pain was gone and I was back to my beloved mountains. Since then, I have been seeing Ryo regularly for weekly holistic maintenance. He magically unkinks the daily life tension built up throughout the week.  After each session I feel renewed, rested and still. Much gratitude and kudos to Ryo. You are awesome!" - Asli Ors, 35 yrs old

"I sit in front of a computer all day for work, and have lived with some level of back and shoulder pain for all of my adult life. After two sessions with Ryo, my back is pain free and my shoulders are less tight. I have tried other massage styles over the years. Most of them feel good at the time, but shiatsu is the only one that provides me with lasting improvements. Ryo is REALLY good at shiatsu. He is also a really nice guy." - Patrick Tsunehiro, 43 years old
