Private & Rehab Instruction

EHS has a wide range of trainers and session types to accommodate your diverse needs, budget, and schedule. Whether you desire a challenging workout developed for your individual needs, or a specific focus on Rehabilitative Pilates, Pre and Post Natal Pilates, Osteo Pilates and Active Aging as well as other specialties, EHS has a trainer that is right for you.

Many people find that they prefer a private session to a group class, as they feel more comfortable in the intimate environment of a one-on-one session. Often clients feel that they benefit more from undivided attention and a program of exercises specifically designed and prescribed for their individual needs. Some Group Class clients also supplement their workouts with occasional privates to make sure they are working properly or to get deeper into the work.

Pilates-Based Rehabilitation

Pilates-based rehabilitation is an excellent rehab system for your body—perfect when addressing knee, back, hip, shoulder and repetitive stress injuries. A holistic approach is used to address the body’s imbalances, and to treat the root of the problem while correcting asymmetries and chronic weaknesses to prevent re-injury and bring the body back into balance. We incorporate the teachings and work of Vladimir Janda (a Czech neurologist and physiatrist) who dedicated the majority of his life to extensive clinical research on the pathogenesis and treatment of chronic musculoskeletal pain. He is known around the world for his concepts of muscle imbalance, and continued to be active in clinical practice, research, and lecturing until his death in November 2002.
