I love EHS - and Nancy Myers is a miracle worker. I was recently diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and an inflamed Achilles from a previous surgery many years prior. My doctor recommended an orthotic to help ease the pain. Unfortunately, the $400 device was not covered by insurance (or should I say fortunately because I would never have called Nancy if it had been). I was not willing to give up the heels just yet. Nancy assured me that she had an intensive three-day program that could help specifically addressing my Achilles and plantar issues. Within 2 sessions, I was running the Lyon Street Stairs with ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN or any of the days following. Thank you Miss Nancy!

"Nancy is not only a wonderful Pilates instructor - patient, informative and extremely knowledgeable, she also specializes in rehabilitative work. I had been suffering from chronic pain in my knee and shoulder for years under the assumption that it was something I just had to live with. I had seen chiropractors and physical therapists - then I began to see Nancy. Within a few months, I was feeling pain free and got stronger physically in the process. Most importantly, Nancy gave me a series of exercises I was able to do at home to maintain the work we did together. Nancy is attentive, personable and has an incredible base of knowledge to work from. Highly recommended!" Peggi Jeung has endorsed your work.
Nancy was introduced to Pilates at St. Francis Dance Medicine Center by Elizabeth Larkam in 1989 after injuring both knees from years of teaching dance and running track. Elizabeth introduced her to the Pilates Method and she came back stronger than ever.
After managing Ellie's business since 2000, Tracey and Nancy bought the SF studio now called EHS Pilates. Nancy certified with Ellie Herman Studios in San Francisco and has 20 years of experience with pilates. She has extensive knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, posture and gait analysis and has studied the rehabilitative work of Vladimir Janda. Nancy also presents workshops and teacher training for BBU, EHS Pilates and with Ellie Herman all over the world.
Nancy is a certified personal trainer and group exercise director. She has a BS in International Business and has a masters in Holistic Nutrition.
In 2008, Nancy and her business partner Tracey developed the Bay Area Pilates Collective, now called the United Pilates Collective .
We are stronger together than we are individually. Our goal is staying positive, creating and inspiring new ideas, and developing community among like minded peers with a common goal of making pilates accessible to everyone.
BAPC: Be part of a collaborative community where you’ll find the support and guidance you need to feel inspired and be productive.
