“It’s not just a massage; it’s another crucial training piece in achieving your anatomical and physiological transformation!”—Julian Alexander

About Julian Olivas

Julian’s therapeutic approach is one of constant awareness of mind and body.  Through his

education and background in identifying physiological hurdles and experience in preprogrammed muscle memory traumas and through his knowledge of body mechanics he combines a unique integrated approach allowing the mind and body an opportunity to recalibrate and achieve peak performance. He will be completing the Pilates Instructor Intensive training at the EHS Pilates Studio, adding another perspective in function and form to his repertoire.

Julian incorporates several energy and bodywork modalities such as Reiki, Swedish, Myofacial (deep tissue), Reflexology, Sports, Trigger Points, Reflexology, Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage.

Massage Services Offered:

  • Rejuvenating and Restorative Massage
  • Swedish and Deep Tissue
  • Sports: Therapeutic and Performance Enhancement
  • Pregnancy & Postnatal

Each massage therapy session is customized and intuitively designed through an extensive

assessment.  By listening to your individual needs, your session will stimulate healing through relaxation, recuperation and balance, providing you a niche of time to honor and reenergize your body.

Lighter massages will increase energy flow and open up circulation, perfect those who have edema or specific medical conditions.  Deep tissue massage is more focalized. Direct pressure is applied towards specific muscle groups and helps unlock any muscle memory trauma. This method is ideal for athletes, dancers, or those with acute muscle injuries and strain.  Deep tissue massage is also great for those who want a deeper and more intense
session.

Sports massage is designed specifically for athletes and their specific sports.  It involves a variety of massage techniques and manipulation including active and passive muscle-joint movement.  This method reduces injury and trauma by increasing awareness on body mechanics thus building strength and optimizing the athlete’s overall performance.

Originally given by midwives and doulas, pregnancy massage is a much-needed technique that supports the expectant mother and child.  Often, during pregnancy, ligaments are strained and back muscles are tense, even in the presence of relaxin—a hormone present in the body during pregnancy that would normally alleviate day-to-day muscle and joint pain.  Prenatal

massage lessens the physical pain, supports the emotional process, and eases the birthing process.  Pregnancy massage helps the mom-to-be find precious time for her body with a safe and relaxing environment created especially for her.

About the Hendrickson Method of Orthopedic Massage

Orthopedic massage is a deeply relaxing, pain-free treatment that can enhance the performance of dancers, athletes and anyone wishing to achieve optimum health. Pam and Candace are both trained to assess orthopedic conditions to determine the source of the pain, rather than just the symptoms. Most pain in the body is in the musculoskeletal system (muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints). Our muscles, tendons and ligaments are composed of fibers that are designed to slide freely relative to each other when healthy. After injury or cumulative stress, these fibers stick together. This is not only painful, but it limits motion in both the soft tissue and the joint. The limited motion can cause degeneration and a decrease in function. The Hendrickson Method combines massage strokes, neuromuscular reeducation and joint mobilization to eliminate adhesions and restore normal function in the soft tissue. Superb clinical results are achieved with a gentle, nurturing massage.
