As a child, Laura was a wiggler. She just couldn't keep still. Whether it was on the soccer field, tumbling in gymnastics, or dancing before an audience: Laura was constantly moving. As a Pilates instructor, Laura takes a serious look at “Play.” Her goal is to replace the dreaded "E Word," (Exercise), with joyful movement that will help keep us physically and mentally fit at each stage of our lives.
Laura received her B.A. in Psychology from The University of Texas. Upon graduation, she worked a high stress job as a Domestic Violence Crisis Counselor in Austin. She first turned to Pilates as a way to unwind after the workday. Not only did Pilates strengthen and tone her body, Laura also felt a strong sense of balance and centeredness. The positive transformation inspired her to move to the Bay Area to pursue a career in Pilates.
Since receiving her Balanced Body University Certification in San Francisco, Laura has been helping others reach their individual fitness goals through her love for Pilates. Laura aims to create a fun, safe, and exciting Pilates experience customized to each person’s specific needs. She tailors her clients’ training by taking into account each individual’s posture, injuries, fitness level, age, and learning style to create a fun and body-rocking workout.
